erin condren hourly life planner - my november

hi guys! so over the past week i've been trying to catch up on making posts and stuff. and since i briefly mentioned us moving into the house and taking video on my october planner post... well here's the video. i edited the october post to mention the video being here instead. anyway, enjoy! ~Lindsay ^.~

also, guess who got crafty in october?! i got inspiration from a wreath i saw online and made a few additions and changes. since the left side is obviously heavier than the right, i glued some fishing line weights onto the back, tucked into some of the branches.
note - the positioning of the H changed a bit on the real thing, because i put the wreath together at my in-law's house. i waited to attach the H so it wouldn't get damaged in transit to our apartment as i didn't have a wreath box for it at that time.
yes, it was still 80+ degrees outside when we took that picture...

monthly calendar spread: love this sticker paper and design from cricket paper co!
week 1: so halloween. we had an office party with costume contest. i just wore a bunch of black and put on some cat ears (like i did two years ago, and i was PTO last halloween), to be something simple..because moving. that's what i'll tell myself, weight gain, work-appropriateness, and broken (needs re-gluing) lolita shoes...no those were not factors for not trying harder. 💁anyway, if you're interested in seeing some of the costumes at the office, check my instagram.
otherwise, notable things of the week, i slept on an air mattress for the first time ever for our first couple nights in our house. and it was an awful experience. thankfully paul went in the other room after a while, because both of us on it if either of us moved i started feeling nauseated and dizzy. so needless to say, i didn't sleep too good for a couple nights straight. not that we had to sleep in the house because the apartment is literally 10 minutes down the street with two real beds in it.......... 😫 but new house...? and then it was the "big" move. probably 90% of our stuff that was not a large piece of furniture made it to the house in my car, believe it or not. and also believe it or not, about 65% of those items were brought in and out by yours truly because somebody had to work not in this state. at least i got my 10-15k steps for a solid 2 weeks!!!
our washer and dryer were delivered, and one of the pedestals we ordered ended up being dented. so based on the options the delivery man gave me, i told them to just install the good one, take back the bad one, and i'll call and request a new one. they were here about two hours for the installation. shortly after they left, i noticed some minor damage on the dryer console, so in addition to the pedestal, i mentioned this to the whirlpool person and accepted a markdown to not waste more time with them coming back and doing all of that over again.
week 2: so! sunday night, puttin stuff away into the cabinets, reorganizing the kitchen...ya know, normal stuff. i hear some weird noises in the middle of the night and i didn't see anything out of the ordinary in my initial glance. i go to work and come back and i'm trying to finish up the organization, and i find something else i wanted to throw into the cabinet over the fridge. ya know, the stuff you don't use very often but still want to keep. anyway, i'm standing infront of the fridge and get on the stepstool, and i can't open the cabinet door because it's hitting the fridge. wtf. i get down and look at the cabinet from the side and notice it looks weird. then i get ontop of the counter and...i'm still too short, so i had to take pictures, lol. anyway said pictures on my instagram, but my cabinet started to come off the wall. i make a warranty request, and the superintendent guy comes over thinking it'd be a simpler fix because there were other recent problems with peoples' cabinets. nuuupe. so he takes some photos with his helper kiddos (interns) and returns the next morning with the cabinet guy to brace the cabinet, so i "can use it until the new box comes next month". like i'm going to put stuff into this cabinet?! so, we will see next month if the new cabinet works out!
next, i was getting conflicting phone calls by the delivery people and the whirlpool people regarding my replacement pedestal. the delivery company thought that they were installing a pedestal and taking a dryer away. and i'm like, what? why? who said anything to you guys about a dryer?! so they advised i talk to whirlpool again, but still scheduled the delivery for me. i call whirlpool and they are like, yes your markdown should be processed by now, no they're not supposed to take your dryer away, yes they're supposed to come and install the new pedestal. so it ended up being several days of phone tag because i called too late in the day and the other's office was closed and whatever. anyway, after about 2.5 days, i got everything straightened out, and all was good.
(ugh, i forgot to fix that... i took cyber monday off too..)
week 3: this was an interesting week. the delivery people spent 20 minutes and two phone calls trying to find my house from going to the wrong place about 5 minutes down the street from our subdivision. no, i do not live at the baseball field...what?! but they were super nice and were in and out within an hour once they did make it here. thankfully there'll be no more delivery people until we decide to get more furniture. w00t!
next, i've been trying to figure out how to get a garbage can. like all the neighbors have one, where's mine? i set up our account 3 weeks ago, i should have one by now, right? -- sidenote: my sales lady sent us a list of phone numbers to transfer all the utilities into our name. i call and set up the water and the lady tells me the fee and deposit and that it'll be connected the next day. ok sure thing whatever. then i call the garbage number and they're like, i can't find your house in the system. weird side-sidenote, just based on my name and maybe my phone number, they knew mom's address which i don't see how i would be in the garbage people's system for my mom's condo..? weiiird. anyway, she advises to figure out if they're actually the ones servicing the house or if it's someone else. i text the sales lady, and she's like, oh i hear people set it up through the water company these days. then y u give me bad, outdated info?! i call the water company again and they confirm that garbage is set up with the water. i don't inquire further. fast forward to the 14th. for a few days at this point, i've been looking online to figure out how the hell to get a trash can. i ended up calling a number i found online and they are in fact the people that pick up for our house. so i was able to get a trash can and recycle bin ordered, and got the pickup days, because no one else told me that information either.......
annnd for those interested, i posted a few pictures during the thanksgiving party onto my instagram. we also took pictures and video for the company newsletter, so we were all asked to wear holiday sweaters and accessories. i was not chosen for the dessert contest, (with my 50 bajillion cookies) but there were a ton of good choices!
week 4: i'm honestly really happy that i didn't have anything i needed to go black fridaying for. like almost every year, i buy something from the sephora and ulta doorbusters, online of course, but this year's offerings aren't interesting to me. not only that, i think i got most of the women i'm buying for before or during the all three of the 20% off sales. (why did sephora do the sale twice this year? guess what sucker utilized it both times!) sticker sales on the other hand.... 😉  i also got in on the bioderma sale on beautylish. but aside from that, i didn't buy too much this time around.

november hauls - planner and makeup

hi guys! please excuse the lighting in all of these photos as i try to figure out the new setup. i decided to go ahead and put this post up a little early because the only things i have coming in the mail are canadian stickers, which can wait til next month's post. ~Lindsay

sephora rouge sale goodies are in their own separate post! click here!

ulta -- all of the unicorns. i also got a few other skincare repeats which are not pictured, as well as the clean & clear acne triple clear bubble cleanser, urban decay naked skin concealer in light warm (was on sale!), alterna cc cream (also on sale!), jergens natural glow lotion (this stuff is great for pasty days!), anastasia eyeshadow in stone, and the sally hansen salon chrome nail kit.
  • i had to return the nail kit. it was awful. just before attempting to do it myself, T sent me a video by christine of how awful nearly all of the sets were. and i don't have time (or products) to do the gel method, so i tried the tacky polish method and got mixed results over 3 fingers. i used opi black onyx. i waited until i thought it was reasonably dry/tacky before applying the powder, but got inconsistent results. one nail looked okish and two nails, the applicator picked up the polish onto the sponge and that was it. i was done. and not only that, it didn't look as amazing as the box showed. so i agree. these sets are a pass.

unicorn tears highlighter, lipstick, melted latex; light warm concealer, eyeshadow in stone, milani strobelight

unicorn tears lipstick

unicorn tears melted latex

please excuse the sloppy paint job. i figured i would clean up after applying the special topcoat, but yeah.......no.

old navy -- penguin socks! these were like $3? and super cute!
sigma -- someone over at sigma needs a raise. their analytics is ridiculous. less than 1 hour after looking at the page for sigmagic brush foam, i got an email, hey free F86 with any purchase. pshh well yeah, i'll buy your $15 brush shampoo and get a free $25 brush. please and thank you!
walmart -- kiss and impress nails, milani afterglow highlighter in strobelight
target -- pixi endless silky eye pen in black noir
macy's -- they were having a sale and these were half off! urban decay 24/7 pencil in underground

graze -- i got myself a full 8 snack box in the mail, and the wrapping on the package was the same. this time though, it somehow felt more secure? weird. [i also got a set of that raspberry muffin one i mentioned liking last time, and that came in a normal people box, properly sealed and what have you. sorry for not photographing.] anyway, i enjoyed most of these snacks and updated my profile with my preferences on them.

planner stuffs -- here's the link to my etsy list of purchased planner stuff
SweetKawaiiDesign -- she was giving away this supah amazing pilot pen and cute die cut for every order over $15 that day, and of course, i need every pen ever.

Bolderbon -- soo many freebies! i ordered the penguin weekly kit, 52 week savings, weekends, and declutter sheets and the rest are oops and freebies! so awesome!

sephora rouge sale haul

hi! sooo. rouge sale happened over two weekends this year, and here's what i gots! ~Lin-chan ^.~
there's one more thing not pictured that i will share sometime next month, because i also bought one for someone else for christmas.
alsoooo. please excuse the new setup while i try to play with the lighting and all. at the apartment, i had a bookshelf on the right side of my desk that the lamp was on, but the bookshelf ended up on the left side of my desk with new arrangement in the house. i do still have the shoe shelf on the left side (slightly pictured) which i moved the lamp onto. but i still managed to arrange everything too close to it. 💁

bow n arrow, rebel, mauvember 2017
  1. nest festive candle trio -- this has the holiday candle, birchwood pine, and sugar cookie. i think last year..? i bought a mini of the holiday candle and loved it. so guess who splurged this year, because woodsy and sweet, and candle i liked last time... yeah.
  2. kat von d liquid lipstick in bow n arrow -- i'm working my way through my mini and wanted to get a full size before i ran out and discount.
  3. urban decay vice lipstick in rebel -- ok, seriously this packaging was what caught my attention... anyway, it was new. there were no swatches by anyone. people in the 10 or so reviews said it was great, work appropriate, very wearable. i had to try it!
  4. peace out acne dots -- so guess who got repurchased before the other.. 😉 yes these are more expensive than the peter thomas roth dots, but i feel like these work better. i also like these more because they're thicker and easier to apply and remove. the ptr ones are super thin and a lot of times, i end up folding over an edge just trying to peel it off the sheet...super annoying.
  5. fenty beauty foundation in 140 -- so i caved and went ahead because 20% off. i also got my sephora color IQ thing done, so whoever is wondering, i'm 5Y06. i've been using it consistently for a couple weeks now (4-5 pumps), and it definitely matches me better than the 150 sample i had, which was a little pink but still pretty close on me. coverage-wise, applying with a brush is better. finish-wise, i like applying it with a sponge. either i'm applying it poorly or it's just too much and a little bunchy when i use a brush, but i think the sponge spreads it more evenly even though the coverage is thinner that way.
  6. marvis toothpaste in classic strong mint -- tati (and james) rave about this toothpaste. i got a smaller tube of a 'normal' flavor to try and see what's so special about it. i've used it twice so far, and it's not life changing, it's whatever. maybe the other flavors last longer?
  7. bite beauty amuse bouche liquified lip in mauvember 2017 -- i wasn't sure about also getting the multistick, because i'd probably end up using it as a lipstick too and not much else. so i didn't, and i also wanted to try out this formula since i've never gotten one of these before.
  8. clinique great skin great deal set for types 3-4 -- i actually buy this set a lot. i mean, it's the same price as buying the ddm gel by itself, so why not get a travel size of the toner i use, and a meh face wash, for basically free?
  9. freebies
    1. lancome monsieur big mascara
    2. sephora collection pro flawless airbrush #56 (rouge renewal brush) -- anyone else slightly disappointed with this year's gift.. like you can reuse it and sephora collection brushes are pretty good and all, but i'm kinda underwhelmed by a mini brush for $1k. just sayin.

nolw (notd) - blackheart midnight galaxy

hi guys! so i finally painted my nails with something 'new' last week. and it chipped like in less than a day, as per usual..... anyway, i bring you the super pretty blackheart nail polish in midnight galaxy! ~Lindsay ^.~

october hauls - planner and makeup

hi guys! here's all the things i got in october!! thankfully i prewrote 90% of this post! w00t. there's a few things i ordered toward the end of october and didn't arrive til november, so they'll be in the november post. ~Lindsay

i wanted to put these early in the post so they're clear and visible -- my ulta packages contained  coupon codes for 30% off soap and glory products (excluding gift sets) through 12/31/17, code: glory30 and 25% off sleek makeup (excluding gift sets) through 12/31/17, code: sleek25. you're welcome!

sephora -- i got sephora collection cream lip stain set to try one or two of these shades, and the others are going into christmas gifts. and i also got the l'occitane holiday crackers set for the same reason because i love their amande and cherry blossom scents. for 100 points i redeemed for a mini of makeup forever's new blush in S214 and urban decay naked skin highlighting fluid in sin. and for the coupon code, i got urban decay's new troublemaker mascara.

S214, blackberry sorbet, blush nude, sin

blackberry sorbet

blush nude
ulta -- i saw that they had revlon's new holochrome nail polish collection, so i picked up hologasm and fairy dust (blue). they also had benefit's hoola bronzers on sale, so i went ahead and got both the original and lite. and they had maybelline bogo half off, so i got the master precise ink liquid liners in galactic metal and stellar sand. annnd a gift with purchase - garnier moisture bomb.
  • update: those polishes are not holo. well the blue one's not a true holo at least. so i returned them both because i was pretty indifferent about them. sorry for not including swatches!
walmart -- got another of the maybelline liners in violet nova, loreal infallible paints metallics eyeshadows in rose chrome, and a biore baking soda acne scrub

violet nova, galactic metal, stellar sand, rose chrome
ulta -- so, uhm, someone caved. i'm not going to bother swatching this out since there's like a gazillion photos and videos of this palette, but morphe is now carried at ulta and i ordered the jaclyn hill palette because discount code.
shoes! got a pair of feelgoodz slimz in cloud, heard about this brand in one of my college classes because my professor taught the founder/owner of the company. and these are super comfortable and i do recommend them! i also got two pairs of shoes from payless, a pair of dexflex bow wedges and christian siriano flats.

planner stuffs -- here's the link to my etsy list of purchased planner stuff
went a lil washi crazy at hobby lobby, and grabbed some metallic gel pens. also, i got this plaid washi at the target dollar spot in september, but it didn't fit in with any of the photos i took for that post, so i didn't mention it.
so. i made a few pbc orders. and i got a lotsa freebies in the process. >w<
      WontonInAMillion
      MyNewestAddiction
TheCoffeeMonsterzCO -- i'm not actually trying to say anything by buying this sticker book, i will eventually use all of the stickers in it, but it was a good deal and so i decided to get it early.

october empties, hit pan, & makeup graveyard

heyyyy! so. october empties...because i photographed most of them before we moved! also, blanket photo! ain't nobody got time for empties in a new house! so anyway here they are. i apologize first for this being late, but new house and stuff... and second, for not remembering my thoughts on some items. ~Lindsay ^.~
      1. clinique ddm gel
      2. clinique clarifying lotion 3
      3. volumedic shampoo
      4. tree hut sugar scrub in coconut lime
      5. caress body wash in endless kiss
      6. maybelline fit me matte + poreless in 120
      7. tarte maracuja eye cream
      8. simple cleansing wipes
      9. benefit porefessional primer
      10. the body shop tea tree oil
      11. makeup geek eyeshadow in baby face -- i'm super sad that this is no longer available. i really liked using this as a brow highlight, sort of..? this is matte... anyway, it's a nice skintone shade that they discontinued.
      12. kenra platinum silkening gloss -- this was really good. smelled like watermelon jolly ranchers to me.
        repurchase? maybe
      13. jack black lip balm in shea butter -- i wasn't as big of a fan of this one. i like the mint one better.
        repurchase? nah
      14. freeman manuka honey and tea tree oil clay mask -- i really can't remember how i felt about this. i think i liked it?
repurchase? have to to figure out if it was good or not, lol!
      15. yes to 2 step nose kit -- the cotton swab just to apply the gel cleanser. the gel cleanser exfoliates your skin more so when you're washing it off. the nose strip was awful to pull off and only got teeny tiny hairs, and actual 'nose gunk' not so much. i was able to squeeze at my nose and get stuff out still.
        repurchase? hells no!
      16. han za bath bombs -- for $20? these were super tiny. toward the end, started using 2 at a time because they're so small. scents were nice but not super strong or long lasting.
        repurchase? no
      17. tarte frixxxion stick -- this is a pretty good scrub, but my face didn't feel clean afterward. so i think this is a pass.
        repurchase? no
      not pictured
      1. aveeno positively smooth shave gel
      2. sonia kashuk eye makeup remover
      3. secret ph balanced deodorant in shower fresh
      4. tresemme thermal creations heat protectant spray
      hit pans
      1. makeup geek havoc -- did i put this in the september post?? i feel like i did........
        • edit - it was august.
      2. benefit hoola lite -- this is #2, already!
      makeup graveyard
      1. maybelline color tattoo in lavish lavender -- this just got hard and i can no longer use it.
      2. tarte smolderEyes pencils in smoke and moss -- these were starting to separate from the pencil...so yeah no good.
      3. colourpop ultra matte lips in midi and lumiere 2 -- i don't think i need to explain these, because you can see it in the photo.. ew. but i do have every intention of repurchasing one or both of these again in the future, whenever my lip collection is no longer a collection.
      4. american international diamond dry topcoat

      fall favorites

hi guys! as promised, i'm slowly chugging through making posts! i actually spent all of tuesday with a migraine, which sucked, but guess who finally started feeling better like 3 hours ago??? lol. so here's some of my recent favorite things. ~Lindsay ^.~

happy belly yogurt trail mix -- i mentioned getting these amazon snacks like free or something with an order a while back. this mix is soo good! super balanced as far as amount of each thing.
lemonheads candy -- one of my coworkers had random candy in a bucket on her desk, and i kept eating all the lemonheads... then i ended up buying a tooon from amazon because no store anywhere near here carries them ever anymore.
mac velvet teddy -- i've been using this lipstick almost non-stop. it's such a great shade!

      mac velvet teddy

louisiana shirt -- remember how last time i was like sam's club. Sam's Club. SAM'S CLUB. well this shirt was $10 at sam's. this is a small, but it's oversized and didn't shrink very much in the wash. i don't really go for oversized shirts (and didn't bother to hold it up to myself when buying....), but i do like the cut and that it's loose and flowy.
fan pulls -- suuuper random, i know. but aren't they adorbz and functional at the same time?! this set was $4 at walmart and also came in a bronze version.
