at the end of march, we put down a deposit to reserve a lot in a nearby new development/subdivision. shortly after that, we had a design appointment to pick out flooring, cabinets and counters, and a few other things that we're allowed to choose and upgrade. i'll probably be gradually posting photos to my instagram as construction comes along. maybe i can make a video of our final walk through, or right after we get the keys? as of like a week or so ago, our lot doesn't have a 'sold' sign on it, so whenever we get our sign, i'll post a photo, lol! we also had to send in a second deposit because.. well we upgraded so much even beyond what was allowed to be rolled into our mortgage. ehehehe... we know what we want, even though they don't offer certain things that are relatively important *cough* floor drain in utility room *ahem*. buuut we're super excited, and it'll be closer to the end of the year that we'll be moving in.
while the above crazy awesomness was going on, my project came to a close. the project itself is still going on, but with a smaller and more focused group, and their official end date is like the end of Q2. that being said, i am still working for the same client but i can't say the same for some of my friends. only three of us in my office were kept on... i was switched from the canada website to the US website, which is cool. so the team i am on is actually not support, which is what i thought it would be. we're actually making subtle changes for new features and stuff. neato. some of these features are ones we built for the canada site. so, cool. we switch teams, and they literally have almost nothing for us to do. oh yay. we first started off by changing our code base over to the US site from canada's, and my coworker and i have completed one story each for this new team thus far. beyond that, we were able to get onto this ad hoc 'team' for upgrading the site to a newer version of the commerce suite we're using. so we've been mostly fixing customizations that broke with the upgrade. on a different but still work related note, i recently found out that my onboarding class lost another member maybe a month or two ago. abusing corporate credit cards is certainly the fault of that person, but we're now down to 13 from 20.

notes page: i was playing with all my new stamps..obviously. the larger square ones and the hearts strip, i tried using by attaching them to a notecard and stamping them.....this was before i got my larger acrylic blocks... a good number of these had do-overs because of the unevenness of the pages beneath it which had stickers on them. and it was funny because by the end of all that, i could have just laid out that one sheet flat on the table. duh. >.> anyway, i'm excited about these and can't wait to start using them!
