erin condren hourly life planner - my april

hi guys! so this has been a super busy month! i figure it's easier for me to talk about it up here, rather than in between each week's spread photo. ~Lin-chan ^.~

at the end of march, we put down a deposit to reserve a lot in a nearby new development/subdivision. shortly after that, we had a design appointment to pick out flooring, cabinets and counters, and a few other things that we're allowed to choose and upgrade. i'll probably be gradually posting photos to my instagram as construction comes along. maybe i can make a video of our final walk through, or right after we get the keys? as of like a week or so ago, our lot doesn't have a 'sold' sign on it, so whenever we get our sign, i'll post a photo, lol! we also had to send in a second deposit because.. well we upgraded so much even beyond what was allowed to be rolled into our mortgage. ehehehe... we know what we want, even though they don't offer certain things that are relatively important *cough* floor drain in utility room *ahem*. buuut we're super excited, and it'll be closer to the end of the year that we'll be moving in.
while the above crazy awesomness was going on, my project came to a close. the project itself is still going on, but with a smaller and more focused group, and their official end date is like the end of Q2. that being said, i am still working for the same client but i can't say the same for some of my friends. only three of us in my office were kept on... i was switched from the canada website to the US website, which is cool. so the team i am on is actually not support, which is what i thought it would be. we're actually making subtle changes for new features and stuff. neato. some of these features are ones we built for the canada site. so, cool. we switch teams, and they literally have almost nothing for us to do. oh yay. we first started off by changing our code base over to the US site from canada's, and my coworker and i have completed one story each for this new team thus far. beyond that, we were able to get onto this ad hoc 'team' for upgrading the site to a newer version of the commerce suite we're using. so we've been mostly fixing customizations that broke with the upgrade. on a different but still work related note, i recently found out that my onboarding class lost another member maybe a month or two ago. abusing corporate credit cards is certainly the fault of that person, but we're now down to 13 from 20.
monthly calendar spread: another TwoNineStickerCo spread with miscellaneous easter stickers from OhHelloStationery, and some salvaged washi.
week 1: i love OhHelloStationery's blobby. anyway, i thought he'd be fun for my april fools week.
week 2
week 3
week 4
week 5
notes page: i was playing with all my new stamps..obviously. the larger square ones and the hearts strip, i tried using by attaching them to a notecard and stamping them.....this was before i got my larger acrylic blocks... a good number of these had do-overs because of the unevenness of the pages beneath it which had stickers on them. and it was funny because by the end of all that, i could have just laid out that one sheet flat on the table. duh. >.> anyway, i'm excited about these and can't wait to start using them!

april favorites and empties

hi guys! so this month i didn't have too many favorites, so i added them here. and as far as empties, i went through a ton of skincare! anyway, here ya go, another
on time *w00t w00t* end of month post! ~Lindsay-chan ^.~

favorites
  1. netflix -- so we have officially become old people. we go to work, come home and don't cook, and watch tv and movies, rinse, repeat. yeah, that's super exciting! anyway, teh paul was on a business trip and ended up activating a free month, and i'm about 95% sure we are keeping the subscription, i mean it's awesome.
    1. anyway, we recently watched one punch man which was supah amazing. omg. not only did the creator have inspriation from DBZ, it was super random at times like FLCL and made fun of itself the whole time! i can't wait for season 2, and i'm contemplating reading the manga.
    2. good morning call -- omg i loved this manga. did i put this manga in a favorites of past? anyway, live action of an awesome manga. yesssssss. binge watched 10 episodes in one night, 4 or so more the next, and i've got 3 more to go. apparently there's a season 2 upcoming, so we'll see about that! i'm not totally sure of the status on the good morning kiss manga (sequel), but i loved the chapters that read!
  2. 16G 8mm post white opal labret -- i really love this...once i got it in! the stud is so small and the screw is super microscopic! it took about five minutes to get on by myself. i kind of wish i got the 6mm post instead since it feels a little long for my cartilege, but i know for next time i guess!
    1. coupon code: welovehiunni for 15% off $10+ until 12/31/17
  3. glade No.3 free coconut beach woods candle -- got this in my january popsugar must have box and i really like this candle. it has subtle scent throw and fills a smallish room.
empties
  1. simple cleansing wipes
  2. aussie three minute miracle moist
  3. benefit the porefessional
  4. sephora collection shea lip mask
  5. rimmel london stay matte pressed powder in translucent
  6. makeup geek eyeshadow in baby face
  7. maybelline fit me matte + poreless foundation in 120
  8. clinique clarifying lotion 3
  9. the body shop tea tree oil -- i actually dumped these two into my 20ml bottle.
  10. schick hydro silk razor -- broke another handle!
  11. too cool for school egg cream mask - very wet, felt nice. absorbed slowly afterward, didn't want to pat in
    repurchase? nah
  12. skyn iceland hydro cool firming eye gels -- while these were cooling, i didn't feel any firming action. idk, i didn't feel like amazed afterward.
    repurchase? no
  13. pacifica hairvana leave-in detangling conditioner -- this was interesting. i liked the coconutty scent, but it didn't linger too long. as far as detangling, my hair isn't super tangly, so i can't totally speak to that.
    repurchase? nah
  14. up and up smoothing shave gel (compare to aveeno positively smooth) -- this was ok as a comparison to aveeno, but i still liked aveeno's. the after feel and smoothness..not the same.
    repurchase? nah
  15. ulta
    1. sugar scrub in sweet grapefruit -- i think, of their sugar scrubs i've tried, this one is the best. it's pretty true to eating the actual fruit, but not quite as strong. really yummmm.
      repurchase? yes
    2. sugar scrub in fig and honey -- i'm not sure how i feel about this scent, like it is figgy and honey-like.
      repurchase? no
    3. bath fizz in sweet grapefruit, tropical fruit -- i do not advise buying these, even when they're in a buy more save more type of deal. these fizzed pretty nicely, but didn't fill the bath that well. like the scent was there for maybe 5 minutes.
      repurchase? NO.
  16. orly primetime (nail prep) -- this is one of those nail cleanser type products that you apply before base coat. this was ok, it doesn't have a strong scent.
    repurchase? undecided
  17. eva nyc mane magic 10-in-1 primer -- this has an amazing scent. i kind of began laying off of hair oils, mostly because i think i was applying too much.. but i really liked how this was in spray format, so i knew i wasn't over using it.
    repurchase? maybe
  18. smashbox photo finish foundation primer pore minimizing -- i liked this product, but i'm not sure if i like it more than their clear version..? but it is still also pretty good.
    repurchase? maybe
  19. makeup forever step 1 smoothing primer -- while i liked how this went on and kept my makeup in place, i didn't like the slightly floral scent. it didn't linger, but fragrance in face products...nahhh.
    repurchase? nah

april planner haul

hiiiii! planner stuffffff. i think one of these omwl orders was actually in march, but canada and shipping.... and this package to the us took nearly three weeks from canada, and a package from uk took only one week last month........ ~Lin-chan ^.~
again, here's the link to my etsy list of purchased planner stuff

Once More with Love: first off, why is this picture so blurry... what was i doing...? can't retake because i've already started using some of these sheets.... anyway, had to get some new release (at the time) stickers, and the oops sale.
Wonton in a Million: i bought more stamps! these are super cute! no money no dumplings and plan plan plan!
Amazon: so, i bought stamps. i needed an acrylic block that was actually big enough for said stamps and the one i got originally was just barely too small. ~.~

My Newest Addiction: can we talk about how gorgeous this monthly spread kit is plus the gold foil..?? and i got the extra sheet of numbers for my 3 monthly spread kits from last month.

Pink Paper Plane: for seemingly ever, i have wanted these chinese new year diva stickers. like forever. she finally brought them back to the shop and was having a 40% off sale, so i jumped on that and got a few other diva sheets as well. the sheet at the bottom as well as the two stickers sheet were freebies.

walmart: sally hansen hard as nails hardener, masqueology collagen hydrogel gold mask
makeup geek: eyeshadows in luna and legend -- legend was on the sale page and listed as damaged for $6 instead of $10, but this looks fine to me aside from not being perfectly smooth..so i'm not sure if that's why, but yay for not paying the full amount!

luna, legend, candlelight, sin, prismatic amethyst, lovesick
ulta: the body shop tea tree oil set, bath fizzes, and shower tablets

spring 2017 walmart beauty box -- me moment

hi guys! sooo. mid march, i received an email to opt into the 'me moment' box which is like sponsored by southern living and canada dry and they showed three sneak peeks. and i was like, ok, i'll bite. well, over a month later, i finally got the box in the mail, i guess it was back ordered or something because a ton of people already got theirs, and their usual shipping schedule is to ship the "second week of march". LOL yeah, way to go guys. anyway, it's here, and here's what i got. i'm looking at keeping less than half the items in this box because i'm not a huge fan of the products, but even still, the items i'm keeping are worth more than the $5 i paid for the box. if you'd like to subscribe, you can sign up here. ~Lin-chan ^.~
  1. aveeno positively radiant 60 second in-shower facial and overnight hydrating facial samples -- i'm really interested in these. i just started getting into the sleeping masks (etude house green tea bubble tea), and this looks promising. and in-shower facial, bring on the exfoliants!
    repurchase? maybe
  2. john frieda frizz ease moisturizing conditioner -- i'm not sure if this is inteneded to be used like a hair mask or just a regular conditioner, but it smells nice and i'll definitely use it!
    repurchase? maybe
  3. soapbox sea minerals body wash -- i really like brands who have charities in mind. that aside, it has a light scent and i'm interested in trying this out.
    repurchase? maybe
  4. soo ae purifying black charcoal mask -- i'm pretty sure this is in an empties with a 'i don't remember my feelings about this' with it. well i guess i get another try!
    repurchase? undecided
  5. colgate optic white beauty -- what makes this warrant 'beauty' to be in the name...? i'm not a huge fan of the taste of their regular optic white toothpaste, i don't remember what flavor we got in the past... anyway, i'll give this a try but paul will likely be finishing this off.
    repurchase? probably not
  6. rimmel stay matte in 200 sample -- if i remember right, i tried this a long time ago, obviously not this shade because it's too dark, but idk.
    repurchase? no
  7. ban roll-on deodorant in powder fresh -- powder scents are my least favorite deodorant scent. and the fact that this is a roll-on weirds me out. i loved their vanilla stick deodorant, which i'm not sure if they still make... but this is getting passed along.
    repurchase? no
  8. jergens natural glow wet skin moisturizer in fair to medium-- i'm still not used to these 'wet skin' moisturizers, so this is getting passed along as well.
    repurchase? no
  9. neutrogena hydro boost hydrating lip shine in radiant rose -- i'm kinda whatevering on glosses lately. so i'll pass this along.
    repurchase? nah
  10. schwarzkopf gliss hair repair ultra moisture shampoo and conditioner -- these smell amazing. i'll at least give them a try despite they're "moisture" products, but if i get greasy oily, they're going.
    repurchase? probably not
  11. sinful colors nail polish in mad matter -- apparently this is the month of death hands. this is getting passed along.
    repurchase? not this shade
  12. extra advertisement cards (only one is pictured)

april 2017 ipsy bag!

hi all! i'm late againnnnn. it's been pretty busy lately and i haven't had much time to dedicate here. but i'm tryin! anyway, without further ado, here's my april IPSY BAG* (theme: sideshow) ~Lin-chan ^.~
here's my impressions:
  1. theorie marula oil transforming serum -- another hair product to try~! has a very pleasant and light scent.
    • likelihood to repurchase: maybe
      • elizabeth mott show me your glow shimmer shadow & highlighter -- super pretty~!
        • likelihood to repurchase: maybe
          • tony moly liptone lip care stick in rose blossom -- i looove lip balms. i loooooove tony moly. I HATE ROSE OIL as a scent. the lip balm itself has an oily yet balmy texture and doesn't absorb super fast.
            • likelihood to repurchase: maybe other shades
          • ps cosmeceutical infused nail lacquer in southern sand-- i was kind of excited that i got another nail polish, but not excited that it'll look like death on me.
            • likelihood to repurchase: maybe
          • ofra cosmetics blush in rendezvous -- not a fan of this shade and didn't finger swatch too well..
            • likelihood to repurchase: no
          • red ticket ipsy bag -- kinda tacky, not gonna lie. i don't like how the zipper edge makes the bag not lie flat, but i mean, it's supposed to be used and have stuff in it, but anyway....

rose blossom, rendezvous, show me your glow

          april 2017: sephora play!

hi guys!!! late again, but here's this month's sephora play! (theme: step it up!) for those who may have not seen my instagram, i was pretty disappointed in this box. there is only one new to me product, as well as the fact that the other five products are repeats from either their samples, points redemptions, or coupon codes. not that they're all terrible, but it's not anything new to try. ~Lin-chan ^.~
          1. makeup forever aqua xl liner in black -- i'm pretty indifferent about this liner. i haven't figured out what's so great about it. it doesn't stay nice in my waterline nor does it apply that nicely. this has been passed along.
            repurchase? nah
          2. smashbox photo finish primer -- this is among my favorites!
repurchase? maybe, depends on need and cost.
          3. kate somerville exfolikate -- another cult favorite!
            repurchase? not at this price!
          4. sephora collection waterproof eye makeup remover -- i was ok with a previous sample of this and ended up giving this one away. it works, but it has a slight burn on my eyes. and i already have other eye remover samples plus my favorite from sonia kashuk on hand.
            repurchase? no
          5. peter thomas roth water drench hyaluronic cloud cream -- i tried this for a few days, and it was ok. i didn't really see much of a change, the formula is a little bit thick, granted i use water-based or gel moisturizers... but i was pretty indifferent about it.
            repurchase? nah
          6. marc jacobs daisy -- i don't like florals. lol. actually, i don't remember if i've ever smelled this before, but knowing it's floral, i didn't bother.
            repurchase? no
          7. 'coupon' for an extra 50 points on the next in-store purchase

          march planner haul

hiiiii! so. march planner stuff. i spent all my birthday money on stickers. is that ridiculous? maybe, but they're so cute i had to! ~Lin-chan ^.~
again, here's the link to my etsy list of purchased planner stuff

TheCoffeeMonsterzCO: got some anniversary sale goodies!
Once More with Love: spring box and anniversary sale!!
PlannerStudio: she had a sale, so i went ahead and got some more mi'me stickers. unfortunately, she's still in transition for posting all the different skintone variations on her store, so i got the 'original' because it was cheaper than usual. so why not?
Wonton in a Million: emoji dumpling goodies!!
Anxiety Aids: so i bought the dim sum stamps..but didn't realize i needed something to put them on...... anyway, i got an acrylic block and a sheet of once more with anxiety
Oh Hello Stationary: yay easter stickers! and an adult coloring sheet
Dook Plook Designs: if i remember right, i wasn't interested in twoninestickerco's may monthly kit, so that's what prompted a search. and then may the fourth be with you, and i had to order these!
A Happy Blue Tree: more easter cuteness
Tamashi Prints: i love these. they're super adorable chibis! and i snagged an oops bag. so if that bottom left sheet (in the top right corner-ish) looks weird...her cutter must have gone through and it became sticker confetti like the ones in the middle. lol!
Imagine that by Lori: caught a $2 tuesday and ordered these, even though it'll be quite a while before i actually need any of them...buttttt i wanted it.

          march hauls

hi guys! i've finally given myself some time to post this. here are a few things i picked up this month! ~Lin-chan ^.~

hautelook: lime crime velve-tins pink rose set -- hautelook sent me a $10 you haven't shopped with us in three years coupon (i'm dead serious), and it was perfectly timed with a lime crime sale. since i haven't tried anything of theirs, i thought this would be a nice start! and can we talk about how absolutely fabulous pink champagne is? and i'm not being sarcastic, my 10 year old self and i really like it and didn't want to wipe it off after swatching.... but it's not something that can be worn daily, lol!

          lola, pink champagne, elle

          lola

          pink champagne

          elle
          1. ulta: tree hut sugar scrubs, real techniques mini miracle eraser sponges, benefit hoola lite; 21 days of beauty sale for the it cosmetics brow power, tony moly pureness green tea sheet mask and i'm real pearl luminiting sheet mask, and benefit porefessional birthday present
          2. sigmabeauty.com: F40 large angled contour, F79 concealer blend kabuki
          3. sally beauty supply: bitzy rainbow highlighter
