january hits & misses

hi guys! another late post! anyway, here are my january favorites and oh no's! ~Lin-chan ^.~

favorites/like it's:

1. sooo. super random... but... papa johns wisconsin cheese stuffed cheese sticks. just try them. please. sooo good.
2. member's mark makeup remover wipes -- these are actually really good. they have a light but pleasant scent, and the cloths are really thick. they're not amazing for eye makeup, but they do take it off pretty well in a pinch.
3. kenra platinum blow-dry spray -- this is a really nice blow dry spray. my hair feels really nice when i spray this into wet hair before drying. i did try this on dry hair and the scent is pretty overwhelming. like it fades with blow drying, but if the hair's already dry..the scent will be there all day and then some. like for realz. but anyway, this stuff is good. try it.

undecided/meh:

1. it cosmetics bye bye pores -- i really like the texture of this powder, it kept me matte, and it could be used in everyday life. but it has awful flashback and is slightly noticeable on a regular basis, so no thanks.
2. bite beauty agave lip balm -- this has the worst packaging ever. every time i go to apply it, it twists back down in the tube ....... why?? it's bad enough that i have to use a bit more pressure because it doesn't glide on. anyway, as far as the product itself, i'm unsure about because i feel like it's chapping my lips after a few hours. i need to test it further, but if that's the case, it's pretty sad.
3. pur~lisse blue lotus seed mud mask + exfoliant -- this is a very nice mask, dries down pretty fast and if you add a bit of water, you can massage it in and scrub off. the only problem is that my skin doesn't agree with this product and it breaks me out... super sad.

misses:

1. 'toothbrush' style face brush -- this brush didn't have a brand name, but it came with an amazon order..on a listing for some tinkle razors. anyway, this brush is really bad. the bristles are a bit rough and absorb product. i also didn't feel like the handle or neck of this brush is very strong.. i had to make a very conscious effort to make sure this thing didn't snap while using it.
2. glamglow volcasmic matte moisturizer -- this stuff is weird. it's kinda got the texture of a face primer. anyway, i put it on over night and i was a super oily greasy mess by morning--which never happens--so needless to say, that is not mattifying, and it needs to go.
