hi guys! it's been a while since i've done a nail of the day ... last two weeks-ish? post, but here ya go. last week i used one coat of goal digger on all of my nails, and this weekend, i repainted them all with one coat plus two coats of cupcake queen on my ring fingers. ~Lin-chan ^.~
also used: nails inc. nailkale & american classic gelous gel nail coat.

sally's: bitzy eyeshadow in expensive taste -- for less than $2, this quality is pretty amazing. bought a few for T as part of her birthday present based off this video and first impression: she loved them! note: the bitzy shadows don't have shade names on the pans and it's written pretty small on the back of the box near the top.

erin condren hourly life planner - my september

hi guys! it's that time again! technically september isn't over yet, but according to the page layout in my planner, it is..which i kind of think is dumb because it's only two days into october on the next weekly spread. but anyway, i hope you guys enjoy seeing what i was up to this month. ~Lin-chan ^.~

september 2016: sephora play!

hi guys! i didn't get a chance to post this over the weekend but here's this month's sephora play box!! (theme: the unbasic basics) ~Lin-chan ^.~

1. kat von d tattoo liner in trooper (.007oz--mini, $20 for .02oz [$7]) -- i don't need to talk about this-a one! lolz.
   repurchase? YES. if i ever run out of my stockpile.
2. anastasia beverly hills clear brow gel (.085oz--mini, ret. $22 for .28oz [$6.68]) -- i used this a long long time ago. this is a really good brow gel, but if you use any other brow products it gets kinda funky kinda fast... just saying. i guess that's why the tube's opaque? lol.
   repurchase? nah, using cheaper things.
3. ole henriksen sheer transformation (.25oz--mini, ret. $38 for 1.7oz [$5.59]) -- i'm not sure about this one. it doesn't really feel like much, and the slightly chemical scent (it's unscented) is a little off-putting for a facial moisturizer. i'll try it but i don't anticipate using the whole jar.
   repurchase? probably not
4. sephora collection rouge brilliance shine lipstick in N°14 love spell (.035oz--mini, ret. $12.50 for .13oz [$3.37]) -- it's very interesting how this shade looks different to me from different distances. up close, this is the pink 90s lindsay would have worn. but like my photo above, that looks nice and matches...idk. i'm not sure if it's just this one or the formula, but it does seem to accentuate any lines or cracks. which i basically always have...sadface. i'll keep trying it and see though.
   repurchase? probably other shades 
5. living proof perfect hair day night cap overnight perfector (1oz--mini, ret. $28 for 4oz [$7]) -- while living proof products are super amazing, they smell like chemicals..bleh. i do appreciate that this is a leave-in conditioner type product, and "pillow safe". hmm..
   repurchase? probably not
6. atelier cologne sud magnolia (sample, ret. $125 for 3.3oz) -- my grandparents have huge magnolia trees in front of their house, but i don't know about smelling like one..granted i'm not a huge fan of floral scents. i can definitely smell the orange in this too, i'm not totally sure i know what saffron by itself smells like.. it's very strong and my migraines will be back in an instant.
   repurchase? no
7. 'coupon' for an extra 50 points on the next in-store purchase

1. nature's bounty hair, skin & nails gummies (2 gummies--1 serving, ret. $7.32 for 90 gummies [$0.16]) -- i've tried these as samples before in the past and they taste pretty good. i'm not too sure how i feel about buying them though, because when i was taking biotin, i didn't feel like it helped me at all (in neither nails or hair departments) and i also didn't feel well when i was taking it. my chest constantly felt heavy and i didn't feel like i had as much energy..because my heart felt like it was overworking..?
   repurchase? no
2. biore charcoal pore strips (1 strip--sample, ret. $5.64 for 6 strips [$0.94]) -- i've used one of these before and i actually really liked it. i think whenever i run out of their regular ones, i'll consider buying this kind instead.
   repurchase? yes
3. village naturals therapy aches+pains muscle relief bath soak (2oz--mini, ret. $4.97 for 36oz [$0.28]) -- i'm very interested in trying this. the only epsom salts i've used before were the dr. teal's and i enjoyed those. this one is menthol, eucalyptus, and spearmint, which i think will be really nice!
   repurchase? maybe
4. batiste dry shampoo in original (1.6oz--mini, ret. $5.94 for 6.73oz [$1.41?? $3.99 at ulta]) -- apparently i've tried this before..like two years ago. yay for having a blog with search! anyway, i'll hold onto this and probably use it at some point, but it's ok.
   repurchase? nah
5. ecotools makeup brush cleansing cloths (1 wipe--sample, ret. $6.98 for 25 wipes [$0.73]) -- tried this out on my usual daily powder-used brushes and it cleaned them ok. i don't think this is cost effective what so ever, but hey, whatever you want i guess. parian spirit and a tissue do the job very well for a lot less. i do however fully endorse(?) their liquid brush shampoo. it's amazing.
   repurchase? no
6. dove purely pampering nourishing body wash in sweet cream with peony (1.8oz--mini, ret. $5.47 for 22oz [$0.45]) -- despire that it says peony, it's not a bad scent. i'm interested in giving this a go.
   repurchase? probably not
7. hello extra whitening fluoride toothpaste in pure mint (.85oz--mini, ret. $4.23 for 4.2oz [$0.86]) -- i'll have to give this a go. i have whatever the blue one is and haven't finished it yet... and i don't remember if i even liked it. this stuff smells like blue listerine...if that helps anyone.
   repurchase? probably not
8. cetaphil moisturizing body cream (.05oz--mini, ret. $10.66 for 16oz [$0.33]) -- i like that this is a thicker cream formula. it's unscented and it's not a very detectable scent. i'm very interested in trying this out!

9. clean & clear deep action 60 second shower mask (1oz--mini, ret. $4.72 for 5oz [$0.95]) -- i'm not sure about this one, but i'm all about trying different face washes and masks! i'll have to try this out, and i can't really say for certain what i think the scent is just yet.

3. nuxe moisturizing mask creme fraiche de beaute (.5oz--mini, ret. $25 for 1.5oz [$8.34]) -- this has a really weird smell. like floral something 70s... yes. lol. i cannot have this on my face, it ain't gon happen.

4. coastal scents elite bamboo collection medium shadow brush (full size, ret. $99 for set of 24 [$2]) -- this seems like a pretty nice synthetic brush. the bristles flex a lot more than i usually like for a shadow brush, but i'll give it a try and see if it works.

5. tre'StiQue mini highlight stick in maldives luminescent (.04oz--mini, ret. $34 for .21oz [$6.48]) -- this is super creamy and blends really nice! i'm excited to try this out!
