monday
so on saturday, i did end up pulling out the work laptop and finished the remainder of module #5. so on monday, i started working on #6. the goal for monday was to get halfway through module 6 (about 380 pages total), but that didn't really end up happening. too much was going on. the meeting that was supposed to be last week happened, and then we got access to our new apartment so i was excited and couldn't really focus for the rest of the day. i only made it to the 1/4 mark, and lunch was same ol same ol.
as mentioned before, we wanted to get a larger apartment at our current complex and today we got the keys!!! so after i got off work, i went to the office and met teh paul to go look at it. unfortunately, i didn't know the exact address/unit number until today, so there's no electricity (until wednesday) and the thermostat was reading like 90...bleh! but, at the very least my car is nice and spacious enough that we moved a 6ft? bookshelf (2 pieces) along with several boxes over two trips to the new place. i forgot how exhausting moving is. but it's even more so when the apartment doesn't have electricity (or more specifically a/c) and it's on the 2nd floor. omg. i was dying halfway through the second trip. at the very least, family is coming up to help on saturday, and in the meantime we are moving what we can while we can.
tuesday
spent the day working on module #6 and ended up finishing it, surprisingly. realistically speaking...the book ended at about 240 and the remaining ~150 pages were an "exercise manual"..for software we don't have...... so anyway..... otherwise, nothing really interesting happened. there was a little excitement in our office because our floor (particularly the river-side break room) finally got a drink and snack vending machine. for the past several weeks, we've had to venture onto other floors for those kinds of things, which was kinda annoying. we moved two car loads, which included a two bookshelves.
wednesday
i got a little more than halfway through module #7. turns out, it's not 540 some-odd pages. it's only 150 and a ridiculous exercise manual. wtf man. otherwise didn't do much at work that was any different than lately. we did get to move 3 car loads worth. this time, we moved our wine bar thingy that i mentioned in a long past favorites post, and paul's desk. pauls freaking desk actually fits in my car. crazy man. and we started to settle some stuff in, unboxed stuff, etc. it's starting to come along!
thursday
the morning kinda sucked because i woke up with a migraine and wasn't totally productive. i spent the morning on the w3schools website re-learning html. the migraine was almost gone by lunch. went back to the mom and pop (more like grandma and grandpa) local seafood restaurant for lunch. it was better than last time, but i got something you can't really screw up: fried catfish. yum. i was feeling a lot better after lunch and got back to my module. it sucks though because i didn't have enough time to finish it at work.. but whatever. teh paul and i went out shopping for a few things for the new apartment, had dinner, and came home to carry two more car-loads over. we're makin progress! also, my bellabeat leaf* came in the mail finally! super excited about it, but didn't really have a lot of time to play with it yet.
friday
spent the first couple hours at a meeting with our manager, since we've basically haven't seen her due to various reasons, to catch up with her on expectations and questions we had. afterward, i finished off my last module and then worked on more of the html tutorial on w3schools. lunch was same ol same ol again. got home and made a lot of progress. we did 5 car loads!! aside from the big stuff (bed, dressers, cabinet, tv/stand, my giganto desk) we moved everything else! we still need to pack up all the odds and ends like: most of the kitchen and toiletries etc, but we did really good!
hope yall had a great week, mine's been super exhausting if you couldn't tell, lol. but this new place is so worth it!
