online hauls! (and an in-store)

hey guys! i've got a few things this month to try out! ~L-c ^.~

i was super excited about this new brush shampoo that crystalis007 recently talked about. but after using it a few times, i feel halfway about it, which is sad. i love how it cleans the brushes. the problems are the dry time; my larger brushes take two days to dry (in brush guards) and they have a weird smell to them afterward. and i mean, since you're using these brushes on your face, you'll smell it, and the smell's kind of a turn-off and blehh. i'm not sure if the smell's just because i got the fragrance free one, or if the scented ones do this too. i think that if i'm up to it, i might repurchase a scented one when i finish this jar...whenever that'll be. it lasts so long!! (new shades in bold) kush is your average bright green with gold and silver glitter. evidence is a shimmery purple-navy blue. psychadelic sister is shimmery and your average tone purple. swf is a bright shimmery pink with silver glitter. x isn't your average orange; it's like orange-red with gold shimmer. vanilla reminds me of versailles on the sigma paris palette; it is a cream-white with gold shimmer. walk of shame basically matches my skin color; not really sure what else to say about it..it's a matte light beige skintone color..

drugstore.com -- so i had a few reward dollars through their site, in addition to the fact that they do ebates, and they have free shipping at $25; so i redeemed them and ordered these.

i am not allowed to buy candles again **for myself** until these are gone!! >.< in addition to the other four or so candles floating about my apartment...

and i got a few soaps from victoria's daughter, melissa, who makes some candles' scents into soaps! the soaps with whipped topping come wrapped in plastic wrap inside a cellophane bag; otherwise, they are wrapped in just cellophane.

1. first: i want a never-ending supply of these, and second: it smells so good; i wish i could use it more often!!!! the tiffany d soaps are topped with a bit of melissa's whipped shaving cream/creamy soap, a shoe-shaped soap, and glitter.
2. i'm not 100% certain as to what the sample soap is...i haven't smelled jucy couture perfume before, but i think that's what it is.
3. paul liked the rock that vanilla candle and (since tiffanyd's husband is ok with using the soap) i'm planning to give it to him for his birthday. it has a bit of glitter on top.
4. cotton candy also comes with the whipped soap on top. smells very sweet! love the pink and blue colors!
5. berry me alive -- the pink chunks smell like strawberry, but the mixture of scents in the orange part is crazy! i like it a lot! topped with glitter.
6. the coral on the white nectarine and pink coral is shaved soap -- i'm not sure how i feel about this one. haven't used it yet, but it kind of reminds me of a fruity champagne type scent. topped with glitter.
7. love potion no.9 (above) -- it's not quite the same scent as the candle.. i haven't started using it yet, but it smells a slightly chocolaty plus the love potion no.9 candle scent. topped with glitter.

benefitcosmetics.com -- benefit recently released some new sets and i had to get these three! i already have the coralista powder, and the gloss looks a little brighter than what i'd use, so i decided against buying the go tropicoral set. i'm planning on putting the boi-ing from the how to look... set into my travel makeup bag--it's just so compact and portable! that way, i won't have to haul my confessions of a concealaholic set everywhere.

sorry! the blushes didn't show up too good; they looked exactly the same in my other photos....
benetint is a different consistency than the highlighters; it's a very thin, liquid stain; thus the weird hickey looking thing on my arm...

ulta -- after xsparkage's video on her haulerdeals nyx bag, i decided to go to ulta, since they were having bogo free sale on (all?) nyx products. so here's what i got! i am in lovvve with the milk pencil!!! it's so soft and creamy!

ok! so with the hautelook orly sale the other day, i saw the beverly hills [french] manicure set, which piqued my interest. it had a sheer pink polish (called plum) in it and i had to try it! i've been looking around for a sheer pink that works similar to the ones used in nail salons for french manicures and i think this is it! i recently bought it, so i haven't actually attempted an at home french with it, but over my bare nails, it looks comparable to the pink gel coat. ...so i don't think it showed very well in the pictures, but my pinky and ring are bare, middle has 2 coats of pink gel coat, and index has 2 coats of plum. as you can probably see through the two bottles, the plum is a lot darker than pink gel coat but on the nails, one coat still looks fairly natural and two coats makes your whites pink. just be careful: plum is very thin, so it's easy to accidentally glob it on. for the price, plum all the way, maybe with a topcoat. we'll have to see. i didn't use a topcoat today. orly beverly hills plum was about $8 at cvs and perfect formula pink gel coat is $30 at sephora. ~L-c ^.~

went on two lush shopping trips; earlier this week in baton rouge and today in nola with @lilactinggirl. 1st pic: i bought a lot more on my baton rouge trip than pictured, but these are all of the new things i'd gotten. 2nd pic: all new stuff that i haven't tried. ~Lin-chan ^.~

another nail of the day! used 2 coats of both orly witch's blue and inm northern lights. i painted all of them with northern lights after the pictures; but i wanted to show how pretty this blue was first! >w< ~L-c ^.~
