i know this is a little belated, since we're no longer in anaheim, but anyway.... i was excited to find out that there was a lush store in walking distance to our hotel!!! basically, our hotel (
camelot inn) was across the street from disneyland--which was an awesome idea by the way.
so our trip thus far has been fun. we got a
southern california city pass, which is a 3 day park hopper for disneyland/california adventure, 1 day at sea world, 1 day at either san diego zoo or safari park, and 1 day at universal stuidos (which, sadly, we're skipping...) all in a nice, package that is cheaper than buying each ticket separately--which is also why we're ok with skipping universal due to it being far out of the way and not having enough time.
anyway; we did a few fun things around anaheim, like going to cheesecake factory for the first time ever...twice! and bubba gump shrimp co--which, they have one in NO, but we've never been.. >.< went to disney tuesday and wednesday; went to the world of color "show" at california adventure, which is a water and laser type show, really neat--you have to see it! as well as fantasmic, which is in disneyland and has costumed characters and water/laser action too. then, wednesday evening, my knee started bothering me, so we went out in search for knee brace from cvs on thursday..which happened to be a 30 minute walk from our hotel. TT_TT yes, we could have taken the bus..but alas it all worked out. said cvs had a k-mart, big lots, and payless in the vicinity so it was a nice shopping trip. we got 3 pairs of shoes for ~$70, a nice and large collapsible igloo that should fold flat enough for our suitcase (we didn't check our bags for the airplanes), snacks, sunglasses, and of course, my knee brace...because i didn't pack mine from home. >.> afterward, we went over to downtown disney and did some major shopping at the disney store (the one that has all the merch that's inside the park). got some cute frames for ourselves and teh paul splurged on me, buying me a really nice disney jacket. friday, we spent part of the day at disney and the other part, got the rental car and drove down to san diego area to our resort and went to trader joe's for the first time. and that brings us to saturday, where we spent the day swabbing decks on the
pirate ship adventure, and laughing the night away at the
national comedy theatre. if you want to, call this number: (619) 224-4386 for a hilariously long automated menu for pirate ship adventures...might i add that it's a painstakingly long menu if you actually do need to talk to a real person--paul accidentally booked us for the wrong day and sat through the menus for about 15 minutes so to change it................. anyway; that's about all i've got for ya. another update to come later. ~Lin-chan ^.~
Blackberry and
Heavanilli, we bought other stuff too, but these are the two new things i haven't tried yet.
