so teh paul got booked on his first movie day...before i got booked.......... like they emailed everyone and i got the email and replied several hours before paul gets his and submits. paul, at this point, didn't have his profile filled out completely on their site so they held a short email conversation (5-6 emails) with him regarding that and him being ok with going to a city two hours away and this that and the other, and got booked before me!!! and i resubmit and get booked two days later...... >.>
anyway; so it was pretty cool; they gave us a gas allowance for not living in baton rouge or st. francisville, and then they (on the spot) randomly chose my car to be used, so i got a pay bump! w00t! and that was for two days. so between the two of us, we got over $700 for two days. nice! anyway; we got rained out on day two..but it was kinda part of their plan for the mood and whatever for this scene so i guess it was ok...... i don't like wet clothes, and FREAKING we're supposed to be dressed for "december s. carolina"... yeah, ok. this is LOUISIANA. summer started a few weeks ago here. day one, i wasn't used as much because they didn't need my car til wayyy after lunch, but after i got out there, and for the people that were on set before me on day one..yeah >90° + sunnnnnnnnnnn....... then on day two we got rained out and they freeze us with freaking FOUR industrial sized a/c units in our holding tent and our wet clothes. way to go geniuses. standing out in the rain was better (and warmer) than being in there. anyway; so about 9 hours later, we finally got to go back home and change out of wetness...but i never fully dried off while there. ewww wet shoes, socks, and bottoms of pants legs...blehh!! then paul and i cooked dinner and i crashed so fast after i finished eating... maybe it was exhaustion from "running for my life" like 10 times..? or the bottle of smirnoff? idk. (ps, cranberry lime smirnoff is ok, not that great...we got it yesterday to try it.) but it was a nice few days to relax away from home. hope you guys had a great week and weekend!
