herbs update

here's an update on our little herb garden. the oregano and thyme in the big planter keeled over. booo. so i reseeded the soil pellets (and the planter) to see if we get something going. ~L-c ^.~

so a few days ago, @lilactinggirl told me that lush at lakeside mall (along with several other macy's locations) is closing it's doors on monday. i went in today to get my essentials, but it looks like i'll have to get a few of them in BR when i go back up to pack for the honeymoon. anyway; they've still got a good number of everything aside from bath bombs. they are not having a sale and are giving their remaining stock to the decatur store. fare thee well lush lakeside! ~Lin-chan ^.~

This is the End (2013)

today was pretty cool. went on set to a fake carl's jr.---we don't have those in louisiana---and my car was in the scene the whole time; it was part of the tight shot there as well. it was funny because they were taking so long improv-ing while still rolling and stuff that the "worker" girl gave me like 6 food bags, 10 drinks, hand-fulls of napkins, ketchup packets, straws, and utensils. poor domo on my car had to get covered because he's a logo.. anyway; short day today, got paid for 12 hours of work plus a car bump for working 2.2 hours. sweet! here's my moneh.


also today, i went to the west bank and drove near this legit place. someone must have been like, "uhh we can't copy the name off this nail polish bottle, buuuuuut.... let's add a squiggle under so it's a Q!"

an adventure in the park.

so yesterday we ran around doing nails and makeup and all to go out to city park to take bridal formal photos. so here's my hair for the most part. sorry for the dark picture, but my expression looked best in this one. my veil is in, and we put the tiara in later. that veil is coming out asap after pictures are done. i do not like hats and mesh is itchy. blehh! ~L-c ^.~

being an extra, work, wedding..

so filming of treme season 3 is now over. and friday, they told us we were filming treme...to find out that it was true blood!! not that i've watched it--yes, i'm a horrible person. anyway; SOMEONE, somewhere, came up with the super genius idea of filming said show on BOURBON STREET on a FRIDAY NIGHT. chaos much? hah. we were supposed to be there from 5p-2a. i got home at 5am. anyway; while i was out and about on set, one of my campus work supervisors found me! anyway; it's a silly thing to post about but i'm excited to say that i'm back on lsu payroll! yayy~ i can't wait! but first! we need to finish up wedding stuff. all payments and reservations have been made (on my part at least..), got the marriage license on friday, i'm taking bridal formals on tuesday, and all that's left is figuring out the music selection. 太好了！ finally, another super random, all over the place, not make up-related post. i will gradually come back to this type of posting as school approaches and the stressors and pressures resume. later. ~L-c ^.~

went out and about with sharon today to drop off the flower baskets at the florist and went dollar-store type shopping in the same strip mall and happened upon philosophy cosmetics over at big lots---as cosmeticsaficionado mentioned the other day. i didn't buy one of everything because i wasn't super interested in all the products they had, but i did buy a shimmering face powder. all of the philosophy cosmetics at big lots are $3!! check out cosmeticsaficionado's post and your nearest big lots if you're interested! ~L-c ^.~

upon researching a little more into the layla holo polishes, i decided to buy the special nail buffer to see if that will help with the application (see layla notd). scrangie made me do it! i have decided not to buy layla jade groove and coral glam because they don't seem worth it to me. jade groove is a hinted green--i'd rather a more vivid green, and i think coral would look weird with my skintone. got the pack of sponges for future nail sponging/nail art ($3). i've been wanting zom-body to love for a long time (LOVE glow in the dark stuff) and, from aveyou, you can get it by itself or the duo pack...and uhm..the duo pack has full size bottles and is 5¢ less than buying the single bottle of zom-body to love---HELLO?! ~L-c ^.~

Beautiful Creatures (2013)

so teh paul got booked on his first movie day...before i got booked.......... like they emailed everyone and i got the email and replied several hours before paul gets his and submits. paul, at this point, didn't have his profile filled out completely on their site so they held a short email conversation (5-6 emails) with him regarding that and him being ok with going to a city two hours away and this that and the other, and got booked before me!!! and i resubmit and get booked two days later...... >.>

anyway; so it was pretty cool; they gave us a gas allowance for not living in baton rouge or st. francisville, and then they (on the spot) randomly chose my car to be used, so i got a pay bump! w00t! and that was for two days. so between the two of us, we got over $700 for two days. nice! anyway; we got rained out on day two..but it was kinda part of their plan for the mood and whatever for this scene so i guess it was ok...... i don't like wet clothes, and FREAKING we're supposed to be dressed for "december s. carolina"... yeah, ok. this is LOUISIANA. summer started a few weeks ago here. day one, i wasn't used as much because they didn't need my car til wayyy after lunch, but after i got out there, and for the people that were on set before me on day one..yeah >90° + sunnnnnnnnnnn....... then on day two we got rained out and they freeze us with freaking FOUR industrial sized a/c units in our holding tent and our wet clothes. way to go geniuses. standing out in the rain was better (and warmer) than being in there. anyway; so about 9 hours later, we finally got to go back home and change out of wetness...but i never fully dried off while there. ewww wet shoes, socks, and bottoms of pants legs...blehh!! then paul and i cooked dinner and i crashed so fast after i finished eating... maybe it was exhaustion from "running for my life" like 10 times..? or the bottle of smirnoff? idk. (ps, cranberry lime smirnoff is ok, not that great...we got it yesterday to try it.) but it was a nice few days to relax away from home. hope you guys had a great week and weekend!
