they threw in not one or two, but 3 samples into my bag! i'm exited to try them all out! the reusable bubble bars will be gifted, but they smell like the three bubbleroons (rose jam, green, yuzu & cocoa--respectively). i love these tags they used! i didn't know before buying them that they had seeds in them! so cute!

got the nail stickers because they were on sale and i wanted this set for a while, got the eyeliner because i love the blue one i got last time, mom has this brow and lash comb and i wanted my own. it folds inward when you're not using it so it won't break and the comb is metal instead of the ordinary plastic ones, and i got the powder jar because i broke my pink leopard in transit on a movie set the other day and i haven't used the other broken one yet to add it to it....

Hours (2013)

got to run around as a nurse in a rundown hospital in NO East. the first floor had been gutted and portions were redone (for the movie), but yeah. totally nasty in some areas.. and spooky. time is basically frozen in some areas of that building. calendars, magazines, paperwork..they all date around 2005. super creepy! glad i didn't get soaked, as the setting is around the time of Katrina and they blew out a window in one scene. ~L-c ^.~

hey guys! i don't think the visible posts on here date back far enough, but todd haberkorn came to louisianime a few years ago and showed us a series of tribute videos he and vic mignona made for each other. they are hilarious! vic finally came out with his fourth and final one and i've posted the videos in order of their creation... ~L-c ^.~

there are a lot of references people may not get because they are related to characters they played (todd was italy in hetalia and keroro in sgt. frog), things regarding their interests (i.e. vic loves star trek and, as a kid, pretended he was captain kirk), or their ages (vic was born in '62).

again; yes, more nail polish. problem: right now, sally's has buy 2 get 1 on the entire stock of polishes (not including treatments), and i had a 15% off coupon for spending $25 last month..or something like that. which, after today i shall get another next month.... @_@ anyway, i actually went in to buy something that apparently they've never carried at that location, so i'll have to go look at the other ones...
anyway; i went to target, bed bath, sally's and cvs today... ~L-c ^.~

hey guys! i'm in a new movie this week and next so here's the look! i've been trying to practice winged eyeliner and it came out obnoxiously "long" (and it looks awkward from the angle..) this week.. unfortunately, this is how i had it yesterday so i had to do it today and will once more next week... 太不好了！ later. ~Lin-chan ^.~

hey guys! so today i used layla mermaid spell (4 coats) and opi ds sapphire (3 coats). do not ask why i decided to do two topcoats.. i just felt like it! opi goes on nice and smooth, applying like a regular polish. layla is another story. it's difficult to get full coverage with this polish because, depending on how you swipe the brush, you can wipe off or thin-out the polish you've applied--particularly in the area close to the cuticles. i usually do my left hand first because i'm right handed, so i learned a few things before doing the right hand. ^^; ~L-c ^.~

another day on treme

Treme season 3 episode 7

so i went and did another scene for treme and got home about an hour ago. the shortest day they've done that i've heard of was 20 minutes. today was the record longest: 15 hours. anyway; this is what they did to my hair.. ~Lin-chan ^.~

when taking it out, i think the process was: pull hair to one side and use ponytail. then split ponytail in two and twist each half. take these and wrap them around the ponytail. insert a gazillion pins.

a bed bath and beyond mini haul

so i decided to take a trip to bed bath to get a few things and here are my unplanned items... ~L-c ^.~

ok; i admit i didn't really need another lip butter..but since it seemed like it was on the sheer side of the spectrum, i wanted to give it a try. i've been looking all around for travel bottle/container sets and never found one as perfect as this one--and it was only $10! this lipstick sealer sounded interesting, so i wanted to give it a try--will report back later about it! and the aveeno lotion: ulta occasionally has bonus sample bags and i got some of this lotion one time and loved it!

got these layla hologram polishes from aveyou.com! i was going to get them from ulta.com and get points...but i mean, a 20% off coupon and $1 shipping after $50..why not?! i saved like $7 and they had all four, unlike ulta. the 20% off coupon code is allchic. ~Lin-chan ^.~

these polishes look so amazing!!! @lilactinggirl, flash black looks VERRRRRYY similar to My Private Jet, it's not as dark/black, but just as pretteh.

today i'm wearing piCture pOlish Festival, and Finger Paints Asylum and Twisted over my favorite black, OPI Black Onyx and then finished with seche vite. ~Lin-chan ^.~

so of these three, twisted is the winner by a long shot. festival is a pretty decent dupe of it, but it will need to be layered multiple times for it to look remotely close to one coat of twisted.

and for lagniappe: i put OPI Paris Couture for Sure on top of black onyx on my pinkies to see how they looked together.

another wedding update..because i felt like it!

ok so i said i was done with all the wedding accessories..but these aren't my accessories. =P eight lucky ladies will be pulling a bracelet with one of these charms attached to it from our awesome tasting cake. the charms are from weddingcakecharms.com; they're all sterling silver, had $8 shipping and arrived three days later!!! and came with a handy card that has the meanings of each charm. we're getting closer and closer! ~Lin-chan ^.~

so i went and talked to an academic counselor today, she removed my scheduling flag, and put me into classes. less than 10 minutes later, i was free. lol. so anyway, i went back and checked into the instructors of the sections she put me into, matched them up to who i had picked out a few weeks ago and forgot about, changed a few section numbers and voila. i have the schedule i want now! so here ya go. ~L-c ^.~

what's in my bag? -- everyday makeup edition

hey guys! these kinds of posts seem popular right now, so i decided to make one too. these are the products i've been using on an everyday basis and i keep them separate from my special occasion/movie shoot products. i don't actually wear makeup everyday, but these are what i wear whenever i'm running errands or something. ~Lin-chan ^.~

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind: Primer, Concealer in Light and Brightener, Makeup in Buff Beige, Finishing Powder in Buff Beige, Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy lip balm, L'Oreal One Sweep Eyeshadow in Natural for Brown Eyes, Too Faced Pink Leopard bronzer, Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in Zero, CoverGirl liqueline blast liner, Maybelline Falsies Black Drama

i feel like i pretty much talked about most of these products before so i don't really feel like delving into details about each one. the primer seems to do as well as my primed and poreless, has a similar texture and goes on clear. the one sweep shadow is super quick and easy to use and if you don't like the application, blend it with your finger. and liqueline blast pencils were my longtime favorite before i got a hold of ud's perversion pencil.

urban decay new eyeshadows: customizable palette with walk of shame and evidence

walk of shame is not white as it looks here, it's actually a very light peach color. in the first picture, the left side of the pan in
the mirror's reflection seems to be the most accurate. on the swatch, you can see it's the same color as my skin..INVISIBLE!

the other colors i want to eventually try/get are: swf, s&m, peace or shattered, psychedelic sister or rockstar, radium or haight, loaded or kush
