nail of the day: my first **attempt** at water marbling

 

what i learned: alpine snow is not super great as a base color for this--i wish it were a more bright and vibrant white, ibiza comes out looking like black (except for that little strip on my left thumb), pink frost gives some of them a cool effect but is too sheer, and patience, patience, patience is everything. my middle fingers and right pointer and thumb were double-dipped, they came out too white after the first try. after the second dip, my middle finger looks a bit muddy. as you can probably see, one of the last ones i did (right ring finger) looks the best......... >.> ~Lin-chan ^.~
