many of you guys know that, growing up i had a heart condition that deprived me of caffeine, or, more specifically, epinephrine (intake)--maybe it was tachycardia??? i had 2-3 extra beats. anyway, at the age of five, i had to remove caffeine completely from my diet--including my most favorite candies, ever: kit kats, reese cups, and andes mints. one fateful halloween a few years later, an old-time neighborhood friend of my aunt's stopped by my grandmother's and gave me something completely amazing. he remembered that i had pvc's and regular chocolate was a no-no, and brought me white reese cups---which, at the time, i didn't know existed. (note: white chocolate has little to no caffeine.) ever since then, i've been on the lookout for them in stores and eventually i found another wonderful creation: white (or orange for halloween) kit kats. unfortunately, even after outgrowing the "disease" at the age of 16, i was never able to eat andes mints again. i tried, but i think i lost the taste for chocolate and refuse to eat regular chocolate to this day. nor can i drink caffeinated soft drinks, i'm used to the taste of diet/caffeine-free ones now. i also haven't gotten to the point where i will drink plain coffee either. i'll drink vanilla bottled frapps and hot white mochas both from starbucks but that's about it. despite the fact that i like the taste of these two drinks and that white mochas are from the expresso menu, >.< i occasionally don't feel so good afterward. caffeine doesn't seem to have the same effect on me as it does for coff-aholics, or regular drinkers for that matter. i don't quite get it. i can drink either of these two and it doesn't wake me up nor does it keep me up if i drink it late at night. it does, however, occasionally make my heart beat faster..which doesn't sound unusual to a normal person, but it's a weird chest pain and not super pleasant. anyway! so here's a photo compilation! >w< ~L-c ^.~
