ulta (and cvs) haul!

went on a shopping trip to use my ulta reward points! i had a level 7, which level 7+ -- you get any combination of levels 1-6 up to whatever level you're at. see a better explanation here. anyway, so i got a hot tools tapered curling iron--my first curling iron ever, we'll see how that goes! =P and some cotton balls..... ~L-c ^.~

then i got these; maybelline and revlon are buy 2 get 1 free at ulta this week.

 
yes, yes... i got more lip butters.......... china glaze, opi, and confetti nail polishes, and maybelline instant age rewind eraser
foundation & concealers. i also got the peel off cucumber mask that michelle phan used in this video. it sounded interesting and for $4, worth a try!
  

strawberry shortcake looks like barbie pink on me due to my skintone..hmmm. i'll still use it, but probably not often. cupcake looks like a lighter, frosted
version of strawberry shortcake on me. i think that, out of these three, i'll wear cotton candy most--not more than peach parfait
or sugar frosting, but it's not so barbie looking on me. it's more of an average pink.
i'm so excited that i picked the right matches for the maybelline products! particularly when you can't open them in-store..well, not supposed to....

 
the pictures i took of sea ya later sailor didn't come out so great. it's too sheer and light colored that it didn't really show up; it looked interesting over black onyx.
techno is a chunky multi-glitter with fine silver glitter. ice ice baby works well over black--and probably a lot of other colors, but,
if you haven't noticed, i keep picking up blue/green polishes or glitter polishes etc. lol. blue's my favorite color. 

and as a side note... remember this mess??? well, mom had an empty bare minerals container..and voilà! i haven't tried it this way yet, but i'll let you guys know how it compares.

 

edit: lol i love how my 30 days of anime tag is so much larger than the rest, "the rest" being the wedding tag. i think it's a recency thing, in addition to the fact that i pre-posted through day 23 already. ^^;
