today paul and i took our first trip to Red Stick farmer's market, it was really big! they blocked off a street! i think the Westwego farmer's market is basically dead now (dad primarily drives out to Gretna instead). unfortunately--size-wise, Westwego's larger...number of vendors-wise, it's minuscule. Red Stick was also a decent size larger than the Gretna farmer's market too---but definitely not larger than Gretna's art weekend. art weekend at Red Stick was last week, so we missed it but it might be fun to catch it sometime. anyway; this is what we got today, $23. ~L-c ^.~
creole tomatoes ($4), Amato's sweet Strawberry wine ($7, the same people that sell at Strawberry Fest),
a cabbage ($2), parsley and rosemary plants ($3 ea), and sweet potatoes ($4).
