a new direction

moshi moshi minasan! so we came up with an alternative if i don't get a job anytime soon.

basically i have until tax day to go register with lsu as a student again. the only problem is that i'd be a part of the last block who gets to schedule...no more seniority...boo...for now. the major that we picked, ISDS (information systems & decision science), is part of the business school, and i have 39 (of 120) hours toward it already--basically all the electives (so second semester scheduling won't be bad). and given that all works out, i will finish in about 5-6 semesters (and paul's fellowship is for up to 4 years starting this fall). not too bad for an actual technical degree (IT) that is somewhat more useful than a psychology bs... lol.

anyway, i miss my job. and they miss me, and they love me enough that i can have my job back--which super awesome. like i said before, not getting the full time lsu job wasn't the end of the world and 我很不喜一个人在哪里，我觉得他是笨和盲: 我的头发不是红色--是黑色，你不可能解雇我！so whatev. don't care. with the isds degree, i will be a lot more knowledgeable and can go elsewhere pending on paul--and, by then, i'll be classified as an analyst II. this also gives me room to study for and earn some networking certifications. so the current plan--again if i don't get a full time job anytime soon--is to schedule a class for summer intersession (and some in the fall of course) and be able to work full time over the summer..well, with what's left after the wedding/honeymoon.

i'm real excited about this plan. the only thing that bums me out is the fact that i won't have anything to do for the next four months................................... i mean, aside from wedding stuff, which is almost done. just need to book a florist and the groom's cake. but for real people, it's been two months now of me not having a job and that's NO GOOD. i get bored, surf the net, play video games, order/buy stuff---and of course i'm sending out my resume all the while too, lol, don't get me wrong. but i'm seriously going to go out of my mind if i can't find anything else to occupy my time. oh yes! and i've been baking bread so that we don't have to buy any. but that's like it, aside from sleeping. >.> i mean, i know i should be enjoying all this time off, but i'm not. i'm going crazy. boredom, cabin fever, everything. @_@ anyway, so those are my current thoughts, concerns, etc. later. ~Lin-chan ^.~
