notd/review: fing'rs prints press-ons in on the dot

hi guys! it feels like i haven't posted in a while, but it's only been about a week or so. anyway, this past weekend, i tried these press-ons out. and the result: they were awful. in comparison to the broadway impress nails, these did not even hold up 72 hours. i peeled them off because they were annoying me so much. they're a super cute pattern but no. and yes, i'm aware of the current controversy over the broadway impress brand, but i will say that quality-wise they are better.

application: these have glue on the nails already, and have no backing to peel off. you just stick them on. it doesn't come with anything to clean the nails, but i did rub some acetone over mine before putting these on. be careful when sizing these though, if you accidentally touch the adhesive to your nail, that's it. that is the one you will be using on that nail. see my right middle finger, for reference. [this set came with metal charms and adhesive stickers but i didn't use them.]

look & feel, wear: these were really cute. i love black and blue. the package says that these should last up to a week. these did not feel sturdy the entire time i had them on. i constantly felt like they were lifting up in areas and i found myself pressing on them every so often in an attempt to better secure them. but to no avail. by the 48 hour mark, after cooking a lot and doing other things, one of them lifted off pretty badly, so i removed it and replaced it with another. 24 hours later (the 72 hour mark), that very replacement was driving me nuts, along with several others. so i got fed up and pulled them all off.

removal: the package says "easy off". these do not remove as cleanly as i wanted. i was staying at a friend's house, so i didn't have any acetone or anything to help take them off. i just pulled on them and took them off. the adhesive was a pain to remove. as i was pulling, i could basically feel my natural nail screaming, it hurt a bit. once they were off, there was still some adhesive on my nails, so annoyingly--i had to scrape the bits off.

recommendation: don't do it. unless you get them for a particular event and put them on the day of.
